I get the impression that he's an all around decent, likable guy. Generally I prefer more conservative candidates, but in blue New York that is a tough thing to be. The property tax freeze for our senior home-owners is a good idea, and in response to the cuts/restructuring in the executive branch I think we'd do well to peg salaries to their private sector equivalents. He proposed a 10 percent cut, I'd be much more severe since our public employees make 60% more on average when benefits are included.
Minor differences aside, I like him.
